Echolab Analog and Digital Video Sync-Generator

Echolab announces the availability of a dual analog and digital format Sync-Generator ideally suited and certified for use with the Echolab’s Opera series of broadcast-quality video production switchers.  Available as a standalone product, the Sync-Generator can be easily added to any live video production studio.

Key Usage Scenario
All high-quality video production studios with analog and digital devices should have a reliable analog black burst and SDI black reference as their genlock solution. Unfortunately, simply converting an analog signal to SDI black won’t likely provide a high-quality digital genlock signal that has very low levels of timing jitter. Using this Sync-Generator provided by Echolab, all analog and digital devices within your studio can have a high-quality genlock signal in both analog and digital formats.

The Echolab Sync-Generator can be housed in either a fixed two-card Echolab frame, or an expandable six-card Echolab frame. The expandable frame will accommodate additional Crystal Vision interface gear including converters, encoders, decoders, distribution amplifiers, synchronizers, aspect ratio converters, routing switches, proc-amps, color correctors, and delays. In addition to this video equipment, the expandable frame can also be used with audio interface equipment including converters, distribution amplifiers, delays, embedders, and de-embedders.
